Getting started

Bring over your data from another browser, make Neo your default, and get Neo on all your devices.

Importing from another browser

Neo can bring over your data from Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Opera, Arc, Safari, Avast Secure Browser, AVG Secure Browser, Avira Secure Browser, CCleaner Browser and Norton Private Browser.

How to

  1. Open Settings and search for “Import”.
  2. Choose the browser and, if it has more than one, the profile to import from.
  3. Select what to bring over and start the import.

Making Neo your default browser

When Neo is your default browser, links you open from email, chat apps and documents open in Neo, so they are checked for phishing before the page loads.

How to

  1. Open Settings and find “Default browser”.
  2. Choose “Make default”. Your computer may ask you to confirm the change in its own settings.

Signing in and syncing

Neo works without an account. Signing in lets you keep your passwords, bookmarks and other data in your account and use them on all your devices. Some features, like connected apps and memories, also need you to be signed in.

How to

  1. Click You at the top of the side bar.
  2. Choose “Sign in” and follow the steps.
  3. In Settings, open the sync settings to choose which kinds of data are saved to your account, such as Chat History, Snippets and Progress.

Profiles and guest browsing

Each Neo profile has its own bookmarks, history, settings and sign-in. Use profiles to keep work and personal browsing separate, or to share a computer.

How to

  1. Click You at the top of the side bar.
  2. Choose “Add or edit profile” to create a new profile, or pick one under “Other Neo Profiles” to switch.
  3. Choose “Guest Profile” to let someone browse without seeing your data. Nothing from a guest session is kept after it is closed.

Neo on your phone

Neo is free on Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android. Sign in with the same account on each device to keep your bookmarks and passwords in sync.
