Make the Magic Page, your New Tab page, yours, follow the news you care about, and create feeds of your own.

Customizing the Magic Page (New Tab page)

The Magic Page is Neo’s New Tab page: it’s what you see every time you open a new tab. The Magic Box sits in the middle, ready for a search or a question. Around it you can show a clock, the weather, your protection report and your news feed.

How to

  1. On the Magic Page, click the Customize Widgets icon at the bottom right.
  2. Pick a widget from the tabs at the top: Clock, Weather, News Feed, Race or Protection.
  3. Turn it on or off, and change its options.

Widget options

Clock
Show Clock, with a 24-hour or 12-hour time format and a Digital, Analog or Hybrid style.
Weather
Choose the location and the temperature units.
News Feed
Show or hide the News Feed below the Magic Box.
Race
Show the race weekend, with session times.
Protection
Show your protection report and choose its style.

Your protection report

The protection report on the Magic Page, your New Tab page, adds up the ads, trackers and cookie pop-ups Neo has blocked, and estimates the data and loading time you saved by not downloading them.

Customize Widgets on the Magic Page (the New Tab page), open at Protection: Show Protection Report is on, and the widget styles Count, Time, Data, Details and Savings.

Only the time saved, or only the data saved.

Scroll down on the Magic Page (your New Tab page) for your News Feed. It brings trending, personalized and AI-powered news together in one place.

Feed sections

For You
Personalized articles based on your interests.
Trending
Popular stories and breaking news.
Following
The latest from sources you follow. Choose “Discover sources” to follow publishers you love.
Magic Feed
AI-curated content from your custom feeds.

Make it yours

  1. Choose Customize Feeds to pick which sections appear and drag them into the order you like.
  2. Click the bookmark icon on any article to save it for later. Saved articles are kept under Saved Articles.
  3. Tap a topic on an article and choose “Save to interests” to see more like it.

Creating a Magic Feed

Create a feed around your interests and get fresh updates on your schedule. From travel inspiration and new recipes to the latest in tech, your favorite topics come to you in one place.

How to

  1. Choose what you want to follow. Start with your own prompt or a suggested idea, and add as much detail as you like.
  2. Choose when to get updates, such as daily at 8 AM or once a week.
  3. Give your feed a short name so you can find it on your Magic Feed page. Neo keeps it updated for you.

Managing interests

Your interests decide what appears under For You. There are two kinds: interests you save yourself, and interests Neo works out from your browsing.

Saved interests
Topics you add, from an article’s tags or in Settings.
AI-Generated Interests
Neo determines your interests based on your browsing behavior. They are determined and stored locally on your device and used only for your News Feed.

How to

  1. Open Neo Settings › AI Mode and choose Manage next to “Manage Interests”.
  2. Choose “Add Interest” to add a topic, or remove any you no longer want.
  3. Turn off AI-Generated Interests if you’d rather Neo didn’t work them out for you.
